Apparently, Prince Harry Was Mistaken For an Employee While Buying His Christmas Tree

With just a few weeks left to go in 2020, trust the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to deliver one of our favorite stories of the year. According to People, Prince Harry was apparently mistaken for an employee at a Christmas tree barn by a young boy.

The story surfaced after a barn worker tweeted about the sweet encounter, which immediately caught the attention of royal supporters. If his public engagements with adorable young fans are anything to go by, we’re sure Harry made sure the little boy got all of the Christmas tree information he needed.

The duke and duchess apparently visited the barn on Dec. 1 to prepare decorations for their home in Montecito, CA, where they’ll be spending the festive holidays this year with 1-year-old Archie.

“Meghan and Prince Harry came into my work today and we sold them their Christmas Tree,” the employee said in a series of now-deleted tweets. “We had our lot empty when they got there – their agent promoted [sic] them a good time to come instead of us shutting it down. There was one family in there and their stoked little son ran through trees up to Harry and asked if he worked here not knowing who that is,” he added.

Although the barn worker didn’t make further comment on how Harry reacted to the adorable mix up, according to Elle, he did answer a question about the couple when prompted by another user on Twitter. “They seems like very nice people honestly. Meghan sounds very kind and Harry sounded and acted like a chill lad honestly. I’m really glad they liked our trees,” he said. “We got the best we could get from Wa. Very appreciative :).”
