Arnold Schwarzenegger Is 72 and His Arms Are Still Better Than Yours

Arnold Schwarzenegger turned 72 this past Tuesday, and while most people celebrate their fathers on Instagram with a picture of him fishing, or grilling, or doing the other things that dads like to do, Schwarzenegger is not your average dad.

Schwarzenegger and his youngest son Joseph Baena often work out together, and Baena celebrated his dad’s birthday with a photo of them together in the gym. “BIG happy birthday to the best training partner in the world! Love you dad,” he wrote.

No matter how old he gets, Schwarzenegger’s arms are still ridiculously impressive. His biceps pop out of the frame with his subtle flex, and it doesn’t even look like he’s trying that hard. And as People notes, the gym photo is also extra special because the father-son duo are at Gold’s Gym, which is where Schwarzenegger famously trained during the early years of his bodybuilding career.

And even though Schwarzenegger is in his seventies, he’s showed no signs of slowing down when it comes to his workouts. He’s known for posting videos of his routines on Instagram, and in 2018, he was back in the gym just three months after having open heart surgery.

Fans will soon get to see Schwarzenegger flex his famous muscles again when Terminator: Dark Fate is released in theaters on November 1. The movie is the sixth film in the Terminator franchise, after Terminator: Genisys was released in 2015. However, Dark Fate marks the first time that Schwarzenegger, actress Linda Hamilton, and franchise creator James Cameron have all collaborated since Terminator 2: Judgement Day in 1991.
