Cage the Elephant have canceled the remainder of their European tour dates after guitarist Nick Bockrath suffered an accident onstage.
The rock band, which has been on the road supporting their latest album Social Cues, canceled their Europe shows from June 12 to June 20.
The news of Bockrath’s serious leg injury was revealed by Cage the Elephant lead vocalist/guitarist Matthew Shultz.
“Nick sustained a pretty gnarly knee injury that will need medical attention,” Shultz wrote on Twitter. “On the bright side his injury is not beyond disrepair and in fact, God willing, we will be back and ready for the Night Running Tour.”
A statement from the band noted Bockrath tried to play through two shows but now requires immediate surgery and is getting the medical attention he needs.
