Chance The Rapper To Accomplish ‘Life Long Goal’ By Hosting, Performing On ‘SNL’

Chance the Rapper has been announced as the host and musical guest at next week’s “Saturday Night Live” episode.

The 26-year-old rapper will be joining the ranks of Donald Glover (a.k.a Childish Gambino) and Drake by not only hosting, but also rapping and taking part in various sketches throughout the episode.

“SINCE I WAS A SHORTY I WANTED TO JOIN THE SHORT LIST OF TALENTS WHO PULLED #DOUBLEDUTY AT @nbcsnl NOW I WILL BE THE 27TH PERSON ACROSS 45 SEASONS TO HOLD THIS HONOR!” Chance said on Instagram.

He went on to thank Studio 8H, Lorne Michaels and “DONALD GLOVER AND DRAKE WHO CAME BEFORE ME AND MC HAMMER WHO HELPED ME REALIZE THIS DREAM AS A CHILD!!”

The episode is set to air on October 26 at 11:30 pm ET on NBC.
