Emmerdale’s Debbie Dingle star Charley Webb, 33, has told her 509,000 Instagram followers that she has been unable to get out of bed all day due to a nasty sickness bug. The actress, who shares three sons, Buster, 11, Bowie, five, and Ace, one, with husband Matthew Wolfenden, 41, revealed she had to call a friend this morning to help take care of her youngest child while she recovered from the illness.

It comes as Matthew, who is also part of the Emmerdale cast as David Metcalfe, has been busy on set filming for the ITV soap in recent weeks.

Charley said in a video this evening: “I’ve been in bed since last night with a sickness bug.

“Oh my word, one of the worst I’ve had.”

The star could be seen in bed lying on a pillow while she spoke to the camera.

She added: “I have felt so ill. I’ve been in and out of sleep all day.

“I don’t remember the last time I have not got up out of bed.

“I just couldn’t move – could not move.”

The soap star continued: “So yeah, I had to get Emma to come and look after Ace this morning.

“I just couldn’t move, it was horrendous.

“I haven’t put my TV on until just now, apparently loads of people have got it.”

“So I hope any of you who have got it, it passes quick,” she added in a kind message to fans who are also suffering from the bug.

Elsewhere, Charley recently announced her return to social media after a prolonged absence, explaining that she was away due to an issue that took “forever” to sort out.

The mother-of-three revealed that she had missed interacting with her followers, before promising to make up for the lack of posts by “boring” them with updates everyday.

She said in an update on her return earlier this month: “So tired, so I’ve not been on here for like a week because my account got hacked.”

“It’s taken forever to sort it out,” she added.

The star continued: “I mean you’ve probably not noticed, you’ve probably not missed me.

“I’ve definitely missed you lot, but I’m back now and I’m going to bore you all every day,” she signed off.

Last month, Charley revealed how she had been in pain after a car crash.

She told fans: “I was driving home yesterday and someone smashed into the back of my car on the motorway.

“I was still and there was a traffic jam. The girl was really apologetic, but I’d been stationary for quite a while…

“She obviously wasn’t concentrating or watching where she was going. She came right into the back of me.”

Charley explained: “It wasn’t actually that big of an impact and I didn’t jerk forward. But my lower back is in agony. It’s so painful.”
