Disney actor Cameron Boyce honored by ‘Jessie’ cast after death

The cast of Disney Channel’s “Jessie” posted touching tributes to their late co-star Cameron Boyce in the wake of his death over the weekend.

Taking to Instagram, actress Peyton List, who portrayed Boyce’s sister on the TV series, which ran from 2011 to 2015, wrote about the 20-year-old actor’s “beautiful soul.”

“To the boy whose contagious laugh I can still hear. The boy who left everyone feeling hopeful and full of love,” List, 21, wrote. “He was younger than me but taught me how to spread love and kindness more than anyone that has ever been in my life.”

Skai Jackson, who also appeared on “Jessie” and the show’s spinoff “Bunk’d,” said she didn’t “even know where to start.”

“I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken,” Jackson, 17, penned. “I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set, you gave the best hugs. I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had…”

Actor Charles Esten also honored his TV son Boyce.

“It was a joy to work with him on JESSIE, as it was with all the wonderful young stars of that beloved show. They were as close as actual brothers and sisters to one another, and still are, and my heart breaks for them today,” Esten, 53, posted in a series of tweets.

A spokesperson for the Boyce family previously confirmed the actor’s death, telling ABC News over the weekend, “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.”

Boyce was also part of the Disney Channel’s “Descendants” franchise, playing the son of “101 Dalmations” villain Cruella de Vil.

In addition to his Disney Channel credits, Boyce also starred in the “Grown Ups” films with Adam Sandler, who also shared a heartfelt message about his late co-star.

“Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world,” Sandler, 52, tweeted Sunday.
