DMX On Life Support After Suffering Heart Attack

Rapper DMX is hospitalized and on life support after suffering a heart attack.

According to DMX’s longtime attorney Murray Richman, the rapper suffered a heart attack on Friday, April 2, around 11 p.m. at his home in White Plains. He was taken via ambulance to a local hospital, where he remains on a ventilator.

“We ask that you please keep Earl/DMX and us in your thoughts, wishes, and prayers as well as respect our privacy as we face these challenges,” the rapper’s family said in a statement.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, is popular for hit songs like “Party Up” and “Get At Me Dog.” His first five albums debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. He has received three Grammy nominations, all of which came in either 2000 or 2001.
