The touching memorialisation of Alex’s brother comes a few days after Alex announced his return to social media, after he took a break following the death of his brother.

Alex posted a photo of himself sitting on a bench surrounded by greenery and opened up to fans in the caption.

He wrote: “Hi everyone – I am back. Taking some reflective time offline these last few weeks was really important for me.

“I have been spending time with my family and friends, living in the present and trying to focus on the things that matter most.

“Working in A&E has also been a helpful focus, the love and support from my friends and colleagues has meant the world to me and I am thankful to them all.

“I’m sure there will be ups and downs to come but I am glad to be back on here – this community we have built together means a lot to me and I am grateful for you all. Let’s do this” followed by a blue heart emoji.

In July this year, Alex posted a photo of himself with his brother Llŷr and announced he had tragically died.

“I love you so much Llŷr. The kindest and most caring soul.

“I was so proud of you starting medical school next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor.

“We are hurting so bad. No words can explain. As a family we are devastated. We love you and miss you so much. Please rest in peace x Our boy”.
