Former EastEnders star Shona McGarty has sparked engagement rumours as she's been spotted wearing a huge ring in pics with her new man.
The 31 year old, who is famed for portraying Whitney Dean in the BBC One soap, was seen attending her sister's wedding in Hertfordshire with her new beau, Irish singer David Bracken.
Shona was a bridesmaid on her sister's big day, and was seen rocking a purple bridesmaid dress while carrying a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Her most notable accessory, though, was the diamond ring she appeared to be wearing on her engagement finger, sparking rumours that she, herself, could be getting wed – just days after going public with her new man.
Prior to the wedding, Shona was spotted arriving at the hotel alongside her new beau, flashing her new jewels on the ring finger of her left hand.
The couple looked very much in love as they laughed and joked together, entering the lavish establishment holding hands.
The pair recently went Instagram official, with Shona uploading a sweet snap of the pair together for the first time.
Soap star Shona and David looked smitten as they posed together in the loved-up snap, which showed Shona sporting a glam make-up look complete with statement lipstick and her hair styled in soft waves.
"Wedding time My whole world," the actress penned before tagging her boyfriend's Instagram account. She later shared a second selfie of the pair together along with gushing caption.
Shona wrote: "And then my soul saw you, and went… 'Oh there you are!' 'I've been looking for you'… Totally obsessed… in a really healthy way…," alongside a winking emoji.
It's not clear how long the pair have been dating, however, they've been posting about each other on Instagram as early as the beginning of September.
David is a musician and one-half of guitar duo Blessed alongside singer Tony Cunningham. The band have over 18k followers on Instagram and play gigs all over their home country. Blessed describe themselves as "an electrifying Irish band that will blow you away".
Shona's new romance comes after she was linked to her EastEnders co-star Max Bowen, 27, who plays Ben Mitchell, last year. The pair, however, were said to have called time on their relationship in October 2022 with a source claiming things got "complicated" between them.
“There has been a lot going on in Max’s life and things were just getting too complicated with Shona being involved," they said. “Max will always have a lot of love and respect for Shona but it’s just not the right time."
The source added: “Max and Shona have never spoken on it publicly but as their close circle would know, they were never in an official relationship and remain close friends who decided not to pursue anything romantic a number of months ago.”
