Gemma Chan In Talks for ‘The Eternals,’ Possibly Playing Her Second Marvel Character

Gemma Chan is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming Marvel movie The Eternals, but there’s a twist.

The 36-year-old Crazy Rich Asians actress previoulsy played Minn-Erva in this year’s hit film Captain Marvel, but she might not be reprising that role, according to Variety.

Gemma is in talks for a “completely different role” and this would mark one of the only times an actor has played two different characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This has not yet been confirmed though.

Laura Haddock previously played an “autograph seeker” in Captain America: The First Avenger and then went on to play Meredith Quill in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek are leading the cast of the upcoming Marvel movie, which will be directed by Chloe Zhao.
