Harper Beckham has been pictured playing football while wearing a girl power bracelet – which is totally unremarkable, until you consider who her famous parents are.
Then it makes perfect pop culture sense.
Dad David is, of course, one of the most iconic footballers in UK history.
Meanwhile mum Victoria is a member of the Spice Girls – the all-conquering founders of the 90s Girl Power movement.
David shared footage of his seven-year-old kicking a ball in the sunshine alongside the caption: ‘Bend it like Harper (BECKHAM).’
This is of course a reference to the hit 2003 film Bend It Like Beckham, which starred Parminder Nagra and Keira Knightley.
(ICYDK, VB contributed a song to the Bend It Like Beckham soundtrack… This family just keeps getting more and more meta!).
In the same post, he shared an image of HB tying up her football boots, with her beaded girl power bracelet just visible.

Harper is currently in lockdown at the family’s home in The Cotswolds with her parents, plus her brothers Romeo, 17, and Cruz, 15.
Her 21-year-old brother Brooklyn is seeing out lockdown in NYC with girlfriend Nicola Peltz.
It’s not the first time Harper has expressed her admiration of the Spice Girls. Earlier this year, she doctored a throwback photo of the girls, adding her family’s heads to it, to celebrate her mum’s 46th birthday. Inspired.
