Jack Whitehall’s girlfriend, Roxy Horner, 29, has said that she is “frightened” as she begins her “new way of life”. The model was hospitalised earlier this week following an autoimmune disease battle.

I can’t stop researching my autoimmune disease, every bit of pain or sickness I feel, I worry

Roxy, who is signed to London’s Premier Model Management, updated her social media followers on her condition, less than a week after she was rushed to hospital.

The Essex born star admitted at the time that she didn’t know whether to “laugh or cry” as she sat in hospital just 24 hours before boyfriend Jack Whitehall, 32, presented the BRIT Awards.

She later admitted that she was going to “choose to try and laugh” as she awaited treatment due to life being “too damn short”.

Now, the blonde beauty has shared an update with her 181,000 as she recuperates at home.

Sharing an image to her Instagram Stories from what appeared to be backstage at a fashion event, the model penned: “Tonight is my first night alone living with my new way of life.

“I can’t stop researching my autoimmune disease, every bit of pain or sickness I feel, I worry.”

Roxy continued: “I feel like I can’t quite get the hang of it, I’m angry, I’m frightened and I’m sad but I’m also proud of myself for trying so hard.”

She closed off her post with: “Covid please go away so I can be with my family.”

Just days after being admitted to hospital, Roxy was seen supporting comedian Jack at the BRIT Awards but revealed she had been messaged by a concerned follower.

After sharing an image to her Stories, Roxy was messaged by an anonymous follower who asked: “Are you sure you are ok to be out after being sick?”

To which she replied: “So many people live with autoimmune diseases and that’s exactly what I intend to do too, I refuse to put my life on hold. I’m just getting the hang of it all right now but I am absolutely fine.

“Thank you for everyone’s caring messages. Also shoutout to the NHS. You guys are the sweetest, hardest working people I’ve ever met!”

After being taken to the hospital, Roxy thanked Jack as she said he was her “biggest support”.

Alongside an adorable picture of the happy couple, she wrote: “I’m so lucky and grateful for my man, my biggest support through everything, I don’t know what I would have done this past year without you.”

The model who has been photographed by legendary photographer Rankin shared her shock admission with her fans, saying: “Ever stare life right in the face like really???

“Currently sitting in hospital not knowing to laugh or cry every 5 mins but I’m going to choose to try and laugh because life is too damn short. Screw autoimmune diseases though!” [sic]

Autoimmune diseases can cause either low or overactivity of the immune system, which can make people more prone to infections.

Roxy, who has been in a relationship with Jack since last year, followed her post by sharing a short video of herself in a hospital bed and gown with a cannula in her arm.

The blonde beauty wrote alongside the clip: “Guess I’m here another night!”

Roxy has been dating Jack since the first coronavirus lockdown after the pair met during a trip to Australia.

The model then moved into his London home after just a few weeks of dating.
