Janette Manrara defended by fans as she takes baby Lyra for first walk

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Janette Manrara has been defended by her fans after she shared an adorable post of her first walk with baby Lyra.

The Strictly It Takes Two presenter announced she and her fellow Strictly legend husband Aljaz Skorjanec, 33, were pregnant earlier this year and have since been sharing updates with fans.

The pregnancy came as quite the surprise for the pair who were just about to star their IVF journey before Janette, 39, fell pregnant with baby Lyra Rose Skorjanec who was born on July 28 this year.

And three weeks into being a new mum Janette shared an update with her fans where she revealed they had done a 'first' with their baby.

As it had turned out the cute family of three had gone for their first country walk with their little one.

Also on the family outing were Aljaz's mum, dad and sister who have made the trip over from Slovenia to meet their granddaughter and niece for the first time.

Janette took to her Instagram to share an adorable post with pictures of the family out together with the mum and dad pushing their adorable tot through luscious green fields as the sun beamed down.

Captioning her post, the new mum wrote: "Lyra’s first stroll in the countryside."

She then added a video and wrote: "Was finally able to take Lyra for a stroll in the pram and the day could not have been more perfect for it. She loved the fresh air, and @aljazskorjanec and I loved showing her the field where she’ll one day be running around and playing in."

In response, many fans were loving the new family-of-three and supporting the new parents.

As one wrote: "I love how you’re sharing these precious moments. Enjoy every minute as they fly by in a heartbeat."

While another added: "I love how devoted Alijazs is already! Such a beautiful family. Little Ms Lyra Rose is a lucky little lady."

However, some people were not quite so keen on the clip as one wrote: "Unfollowing fed up with baby posts."

Many leapt on this comment to lambast it as "just plain rude".

"Oh, what a relief. Thanks for clarifying this. Would have struggled to move forward with my day if you hadn't clarified this," one commented.

"Why not just unfollow then? Why the need to criticise them during your exit? That’s not kind at all, it’s just plain rude. I personally love sharing in their happiness," added another.
