A tribute concert honoring John Prine will re-air on October 11, which would have been the late icon’s 74th birthday.
Prine’s family had a put together “Picture Show: A Tribute Celebrating John Prine” in June. The star-studded show featured Brandi Carlile, Kacey Musgraves, Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Sturgill Simpson, Bill Murray, Margo Price, Jeremy Ivey, Dan Auerbach and Bonnie Raitt.
Prine’s backing band, Kenneth Blevins, David Jacques, Fats Kaplin and Jason Wilber, also performed during the show.
“Picture Show: A Tribute Celebrating John Prine” will air at 7 p.m. CT on Prine’s YouTube channel and will be available to stream through midnight, October 11.
Prine died on April 7 at the age of 73 due to COVID-19.
Prine’s label Oh Boy Records also announced that Prine’s 2000 album Souvenirs will release on vinyl for the first time on September 25.
