Josie Gibson has revealed that an ex-This Morning guest she still keeps in touch with predicted she would present the ITV show on Tuesday 16 November.
The 36 year old, who recently got trapped in a bin as she begged someone to "get me out", appeared on the sofa with Phillip Schofield, 59, before revealing the usual host Holly Willoughby, 40, is ill.
"Holly is not here today because she has a tummy bug. Nothing more than that, so she'll be back here tomorrow," Phillip told viewers.
The pair shared that Josie was on the way to film the show's competition segment in Surrey when she got the call that she was needed in the studio instead.
The former Big Brother star joked that she thought the show's producers got the wrong number when she was asked to stand in for Holly.
"I couldn't believe it, I thought they'd got the wrong number Phil," Josie explained. "How surreal. I've grown up watching the show and now I'm sat along side you. Look, I've been thrown in the deep end, but I've got the best armbands on the planet."
Josie then shared how a former guest of the programme had shared her prediction that this would be happening.
Margaret, 80, a widow from Devon, first phoned into the show in November 2020 to express how isolated she felt after her dog Teddy had died and said she would give anything to go for a walk with someone on Christmas Day.
Josie then went down to visit Margaret and the pair spent the weekend together – and have kept in touch ever since.
The star, who recently said she dropped three dress sizes to get fit for her son, explained to Phillip: "I don't know if you remember Margaret, she was on our show, she was lonely and we went for a walk.
"I always check in on her, so I always give her a ring to find out how she is and last night I phoned her to find out how she was."

Phillip questioned: "So you still keep in touch?" to which Josie replied: "Yeah! Margaret is such a character, she's so lovely and has such a good show so I gave her a call last night and you know what she said?"
Josie continued: "She said, 'Josie, you know I'm quite spiritual.' She said, 'You're going to get a call and you're going to be presenting This Morning,' and I laughed like a drain. That was last night and this morning I had the phone call."
Fans have been left impressed with Josie's presenting skills after taking over for Holly as many flocked to Twitter to praise her.
"Qweeeeeen [princess emoji] GIBSON sitting [chair emoji] royally looking radiant as ever. So proud you are on the show you make me laugh and smile [smiling emoji] so much very likeable [red heart emoji]. This has made my Tuesday #ThisMorning #ITV #JOSIE @thismorning @ITV," one person wrote.
