Katie Hopkins has been given the boot from Australia's Big Brother after reportedly threatening to flout the quarantine rules in Australia.

The controversial Apprentice star sparked outrage after sharing videos from her time in hotel quarantine in Sydney, in which she allegedly detailed her elaborate plan to strip naked and flash hotel staff providing her with meals.

With Melbourne and Sydney back into strict lockdown following fresh Covid cases, 46 year old Katie was also condemned for labelling lockdown as "the greatest hoax in human history."

Channel 7 have now confirmed her axe, writing in an official statement: "Seven Network and Endemol Shine Australia confirm that Katie Hopkins is not part of Big Brother VIP.

"Seven and Endemol Shine strongly condemn her irresponsible and reckless comments in hotel quarantine."

This comes after Australia's Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews asked Australian Border Force to investigate whether Katie was in breach of hotel quarantine rules.

According to news.com.au, she said on Sunday: "It is despicable that anyone would behave in such a way that puts our health officials and community at risk.

"I have directed Australian Border Force to immediately consider the facts of this matter and urgently review whether this individual is complying with the requirements of her visa."

Australia's immigration minister Alex Hawke confirmed the border force and the police had launched an investigation into Katie's alleged behaviour in hotel quarantine.

He said: "With NSW & Victoria in lockdown, a reminder that temporary visa holders must obey public health orders.

"Australian Border Force is reviewing this matter. Where visa conditions are breached, individuals may face visa cancellation in accordance with the law."

A statement on behalf of NSW's police force added: "The NSW Police Force is working closely with Australian Border Force to ascertain whether the visa to enter Australia provided to a 46-year-old woman from the United Kingdom remains valid."

OK! has contacted Katie's representatives for comment.

In Katie's now-deleted clip, she mocked the strict travel rules in place to help stop the spread of the coronavirus Down Under.

She also revealed her plans to mock the guards who brought her food.

Katie is understood to have laughed while explaining: "The police officer who checked me in told me when they knock on my door I have to wait 30 seconds 'til I can open the door

"Then I can open the door, but only if I wear a face mask."

Katie is then understood to have said: "So what I've been doing…. this is so sad. This is the stuff I would have always kept to myself in the past so that when people were like: 'She's such a b***h, she's the biggest b***h.'

"And I'd be like: 'No, I'm this woman, actually'. So I've been lying in wait around the corner in my bathroom."

According to news.com.au, Katie added: "What I'm trying to do is as someone knocks on the door, I'm trying to get to the door and spring it open and frighten the s**t out of them and do it naked with no face mask.

"And what I want is the sergeant in the foyer to come up and tell me off so that I can stand there naked while he tells me off."
