Anyone looking for a dose of nostalgia can head to Kelly Ripa's Instagram feed, where the always-delightful host offered up a side-by-side comparison of a family photo and more recent take on it with all three of her kids. In the original photo, the Live With Kelly and Ryan co-host and her kids are on the beach — and while that's generally a good thing, Ripa looks exasperated, overwhelmed, and completely unimpressed by the scenery behind her.
In the new snapshot, Ripa's managed to capture the same expression and wrangled her kiddos to recreate their poses, too, even with her youngest sitting in her lap. Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, share three children: Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.
"#TBT 2003 vs. 2020 *Objects may appear larger," Ripa wrote.
Consuelos was quick to comment, writing, "Like it was yesterday." Famous pals Anderson Cooper and Joel McHale also commented, according to Entertainment Tonight.
The throwback post comes after the entire family nabbed the cover of People. In the accompanying interview, Ripa and Conseulos opened up about raising their kids and ignoring gender constructs while doing it.
"I think I had definitive ideas about raising girls versus raising boys, even though I don’t really believe in gender stereotyping," Ripa said. "My sons are just as sensitive as my daughter, and my daughter is as strong as my sons."
