Kylie Jenner Slammed Over Video of Her Promoting New Kylie Skin Cleanser

This is not the first time for Kylie to receive backlash over her new Kylie Skin line as she was previously criticized for using crushed walnut in her face scrub product as a physical exfoliant.

AceShowbizKylie Jenner recently launched the new Kylie Skin Foaming Face Wash, which is now sold out. However, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star has now raised fans’ eyebrows with the way she washes her face with her new product in a new video.

In the 30-second-long video, the 21-year-old can be seen attempting to show fans how to use the cleanser which is supposed to be applied “morning and night.” Kylie, who puts a floral face filter in the video, first pumped the product on her palm before proceeding to rub the foamy formula over her skin.

It looks normal until she rinses it with water only seconds after applying it on her face. The mother of one then wipes her face with a white towel.

Fans are not impressed with the video as many of them take to social media to ridicule the way Kylie washes her face in the filtered video. “You washed your face for 2 seconds. You’re using a filter. You still had makeup come off on the damn towel,” one critic said. “LEARN HOW TO WASH YOUR FACE. God damn. How hard is this? Basic hygiene y’all.”

Another person tweeted, “Omg dying at @KylieJenner video where she washes her face with her skincare and the rag has so much makeup on it:,) girl what?” Similarly, one other user added, “20 second wash + no exfoliation = leftover makeup & dirt. Smh.”

“You must wash your face for 60 seconds @KylieJenner not .5 seconds,” another person schooled Kylie. “Love you Kylie Jenner but if you’re showing people how to wash their face with your products, do it properly. Putting cleanser on your skin for 2 sec & washing it off is not effective in any way, shape, or form. Cleanser needs to be used for at LEAST 30 sec to work effectively.”

This is not the first time for Kylie to receive backlash over her new Kylie Skin line. Fans previously criticized the star for using crushed walnut in her face scrub product as a physical exfoliant. The problem is, walnut is deemed too abrasive on the skin and can cause more harm than good.

N.Y.C. dermatologist and The Beauty of Dirty Skin author, Dr. Whitney Bowe, said that walnut face scrubs won’t irritate skin in theory as long as they’e “ground into a fine powder and tested on skin in a clinical trial.” However, she does not really recommend physical exfoliators to her patients.
