Louise Redknapp, 44, has made a return to the spotlight after a two decade hiatus and has recently wrapped up her role as Violet Newstead in 9 to 5: The Musical. The singer has now opened up about the meaning behind her new “I love you” tattoo on her wrist, which she said was to help her on stage. The theatre performer revealed the new inking makes her feel “empowered” and the main reason for the tattoo was to combat her stage fright. Speaking to The Sun, she explained: “I only got it two weeks ago and I love it. It helps me with stage fright and to feel empowered.

“I look down at my wrist every time I get nervous on stage and remember, ‘I’ve got this’.”
She continued: “It’s given me so much strength already, and didn’t even hurt that much.”
The former Eternal singer took to the picture-sharing site last month and shared a snap of her new tattoo.
She captioned the post: “Let’s learn to love ourselves.”
Louise’s divorce to football pundit Jamie, 46, was finalised in 2017 and the singer also spoke about their relationship.
She told the same publication: “I have a great relationship with Jamie. We share the kids and it’s all working out.”
The couple share two sons, Charley, 14 and Beau, 10.
The popstar recently opened up about her love life and admitted she is yet to get back into the dating scene.
Speaking to YOU magazine earlier this year, she said: “I’ve been single for a year-and-a-half now and no one is ringing me up asking me for a date. That’s all I’m saying,” she said.
“But who knows? At the moment, I just don’t know if that’s ever going to happen.”
Elsewhere, Louise appeared to be in high spirits as she partied with Love Island host Caroline Flack, 39, earlier this week at the Pimms summer party.
In a short clip, which was uploaded to the presenter’s account, Louise could be seen showcasing her incredible curves in a pair of tight jeans and a floral patterned top.
She completed her attire with a black belt and added a pair of stiletto court shoes.
In the video, Louise could be seen leaning over a piano before stopping to whip her hair around, throwing herself into some energetic dance moves and wiggling her bum.
Caroline captioned the upload jokily, saying: “Just cos she’s Radio 2 A List.”
The pals also posed for a stunning selfie together, the former leaning against her friend and pouting for the camera.
