Love Island’s Greg O’Shea swerves TV Choice Awards after dumping Amber over text

Greg O'Shea swerved tonight's TV Choice Awards amid the risk of running into his ex Amber Gill , Mirror Online can reveal.

The Love Island winner was supposed to be heading to the showbiz bash in London tonight, and his name was displayed on the seating chart next to that of his ex-girlfriend Amber.

But after dumping her over text message just a few days ago, it seems Greg decided to give the awards a miss.

A snap of the seating plan, taken by the Mirror, shows that Amber and Greg are meant to be sitting together, alongside their fellow stars Maura Higgins, Curtis Pritchard, India Reynolds, Ovie Soko, Lucie Donlan and Chris Taylor.

But Mirror Online can reveal that as the ceremony kicked off, Greg was still nowhere to be seen.

And before they knew for sure, the Islanders had been doing a bit of table hopping to ensure that Amber wouldn't have to sit with her ex if he did make a late arrival.

Amber, who looked stunning at the bash in a one-shouldered multi-coloured gown with a dramatic split, teared up as she discussed her split from Greg on the red carpet.

The Love Island winner got emotional as she thanked her friends and fans for the support they've shown her since her split from Greg last week.

The pair went their separate ways just five weeks after winning the £50,000 prize money together – with Greg ending the relationship over text message.

She said: "I think because I was there for so long I had no idea what I was coming out to, so the amount of love and support I've received has been amazing."
