Meanwhile, Lucy delivered her latest forecast where she revealed temperatures are set to rise at the weekend.

The weather forecaster looked chic in a plain shirt which she teamed with a black blazer.

She told viewers: “Warming up quite nicely as the week wears on. A little breezy in the meantime. Cloud coming and going but all the while a good chance of seeing September sunshine.

“Temperatures are boosted way above those given at this time of year come the weekend.

“In the meantime clearer skies will mean a drop in temperatures. A little chilly to in the sticks first thing tomorrow morning.”

She continued: “Prime conditions for a little mist and shallow fog into the new day. Particularly across those western zones.

“Elsewhere, crisp and clear conditions lovely blue skies stunning sunshine into a new day before the cloud gets going across parts of the north and the west.

“Thickening cloud and blustery outbreaks of rain from those northern spots. A little soggy and blustery. Behind this, clearer skies as temperatures drop.”

Lucy concluded: “Ahead of this staying warm with a lack of sunshine.

“Highs of 22 degrees if a little on the muggy side even with the breeze. A very different feel into Friday. Much fresher.

“Early mist and fog lifts reminding us it is early autumn and then some glorious sunshine come the afternoon. Feeling pleasantly warm.”
