Paul Gascoigne reignites Liam Gallagher feud with infamous ‘roll with it’ gag

We can’t wait to see Liam Gallagher’s response after Paul Gascoigne reignited their infamous feud this week.

A decade ago Liam was apparently ‘banned’ from exclusive member’s hangout Groucho Club after the Oasis rocker sprayed a fire extinguisher on the football legend in response to Gazza goading him with song lyrics.

Now it seems Paul is keen to keep the fires burning, as he took to Twitter today to reply to a pretty innocuous message from Liam.

Responding to Liam asking his fans what they made of his support acts, Gazza replied: ‘Hey Liam I’m fuming just been to the fish and chip shop and everything was ok until I said I WANT A ROLL WITH IT.’

He continued: ‘Hope all is well and well done on your no1 ps you owe me lunch without the fire extinguisher. Hugs from GAZZA Xx.’

Oh you’re playing with fire there, Gazza…lucky Liam is historically pretty handy with an extinguisher.

Way back in 2006, according to The Sun, Liam was banned from the club after Paul made a quip while the rocker was apparently eating soup.

He joked with Liam, referencing his 1995 hit Roll With It: ‘Do you want a roll with it? Do you want a roll with your soup?’, with Liam retaliating by ‘dousing him with a fire extinguisher’ on the way out.

However Liam later claimed he was actually banned because he was using brother Noel’s membership card to get in.

He said at the time: ‘I got banned. It was joyous day and I won’t be back.’

Not that it particularly bothered him, though: ‘I don’t move in them circles anymore.’

Speaking to COPA90 recently, Liam recalled the incident as Gazza approached the soap-eating man with a gag: ‘He was going, “F***ing go on, you got to f***ing roll with it, have you?”

‘And I went, “Shut up you Geordie f***.” He was giving me all this jewellery…all this mad gold jewellery, like Mr f***ing T. I don’t want your f***ing jewellery man.’

He continued: ‘As I’m going out the door, I turn around and say “here you are Gazza, you f***er.”

‘I just pulled the fire extinguisher – and I know I’m going to spray the whole gaff here.

‘The last words that came out of his mouth were “nooo!”’

Liam added: ‘He was like father Christmas, he was like a snowman. Just covered in it.’
