Peter Andre ‘deserved to get battered’ and ‘will stick to singing’ after wading into Wiley and Stormzy spat

Peter Andre has responded to the backlash that he got from fans for wading into the spat between Wiley and Stormzy.

The 46 year old singer took to the internet to urge both grime stars to get along and leave each other’s families out of their beef.

However, Peter was mocked online for getting involved and for the fact that he tagged the wrong Twitter handles to speak to the rappers.

"Ps the reason it tags wrong on Twitter is because I link it from my Instagram which uses the correct tags.

"I deserved it, I got battered. I’ll stick to singing under a waterfall yes yes yes 🙂 #love.” [sic]

His celebrity pals responded to his good-natured response to the backlash as Jake Quickenden wrote: “Hilarious.”

Peter’s tweet, which has since been deleted, read: “@WileyUpdates & @Stormzy1, if you don't like each other take it to each other, don't bring each other's families into it, man.

"C'mon, you both know that ain't right. You're both incredible artists. Anyway, this is just my opinion.

"Bring it to each other not each other’s families. Just my opinion. Agree? Yes or no?

"I’ll have this up for an hour or so and then I’ll move to something else:))) #love ."
