He’s reportedly embroiled in a civil war with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
And Phillip Schofield, 57, couldn’t resist making a sly dig at the TV duo on This Morning on Thursday during his last day on the show, before he heads off for the Christmas holidays.
Just after the break, Holly, 38, said that she’s sad that she won’t be on the show over the festive period, before joking: ‘I can stay!’

Going for it: Holly joked that she was going to cancel her Christmas holiday, to which Phillip said: ‘Eamonn and Ruth would be very angry, they planned their whole Christmas around this!’
To which Phil said: ‘Eamonn and Ruth would be very angry – they planned their whole Christmas around this!’ as they are filling in for them.
But there was more to come as Alison Hammond, 44, then joked that Phillip was set to get fired in the new year, amid claims he can be difficult to work with.
She said: ‘I’ll never see you again.’ to raised eyebrows.
It’s thought that Ruth complained about Phillip after he interrupted her during a live link.
In the clip from April, Ruth appeared at the end of This Morning to let viewers know what was coming up on that day’s episode of Loose Women.
Towards the end of the segment, Phillip interrupted and said: ‘Guys, we’re going to have to jump in there and stop you I’m afraid because we’re a bit tight for time at this end. Thank you, Ruth.’
Ruth, who clearly looked unimpressed with Phillip’s interruption, responded: ‘Well I only had about two more words to say,’ and looked away from the camera.

Phillip did not appear to notice Ruth’s reaction and carried on with the end of This Morning with co-host Holly.
The resurfaced clip comes after Phil was accused of creating a ‘toxic atmosphere’ for his This Morning co-stars, with allegations of ongoing spats.
Moreover, Phillip is reportedly ‘desperate’ to achieve a knighthood for his services in broadcasting.
Sources claim the presenter is said to be locked in a feud with his This Morning co-stars and is envious that Eamonn, 60, received an OBE for his 40-year career in June 2018.
