Get ready for a Punky Brewster reboot!
The 1984 NBC sitcom is getting a sequel series featuring Soleil Moon Frye, who will reprise her titular role, according to Deadline on Tuesday (June 4).
The original series centered on Punky (Frye), a bright young girl raised by a foster dad (George Gaynes).
In the new series, Punky is now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track when she meets a young girl who reminds her a lot of her younger self.
The original series ran for four seasons, as well as It’s Punky Brewster, an animated spinoff series that ran two seasons.
