Rachel Riley, 33, was seen heading to Manchester United’s Old Trafford football stadium to watch her favourite team take part in the 1999 Treble reunion game against Bayern Munich on Sunday. The Countdown star attended the match without her beau Pasha Kovalev, 39, who is currently on a UK professional dance tour with his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars. The mathematician took to Instagram and shared a selfie as she stood inside the stadium. In view of her 389,000 followers, she captioned the post: “Childhood dream come true today to be part of our #Treble99 Reunion game on Old Trafford hosting duties! Over £1.5m raised to help kids in and around Greater Manchester and amazing to see the legends fire 5 past Bayern. Rachel also shared a short video clip as she stood on the pitch, saying: “Almost time for the treble match. Look who’s behind me,” referring to the football team who were warming up.
She cheered: “Come on you Reds.”
The small-screen star looked gorgeous in a floral print dress with her blonde tresses pulled into a ponytail but she did not give a glimpse of her growing baby bump.
Fans took the opportunity to gush over the Countdown favourite, as one person said: “Enjoyed the day also Rachel. And best wishes to you. And another red on the way.”
Another person commented: “Nice one Rachel and big congratulations!@rachelrileyrr.”
While a third person added: “So many congrats on your news!!”
Following the game, Rachel later tweeted Manchester United’s win, writing: “5-0 to the #Treble99 Champions! I’ve been looking forward to this all year and it didn’t disappoint! What a team, what a club @ManUtd. With a crowd of over 60k, fingers crossed @MU_Foundation hit their £1m fundraising target.”
Meanwhile, boyfriend Pasha was also pictured for the first time since the news broke the couple were expecting.
Strictly star Karen Clifton uploaded a snap with co-stars Pasha, Neil Jones, Nadiya Bychkova, Giovanni Pernice and Gorka Marquez.
The group were tucking into a meal during their tour stop in Cardiff.
The Venezuelan dancer captioned the snap: “Sunday Brunch.”
The dad-to-be has kept a relatively low-profile since it was announced he would be leaving BBC series Strictly Come Dancing earlier this year.
But the Russian star has a lot to celebrate with his girlfriend of five years after she revealed the couple’s pregnancy news in a heartwarming post last week.
Taking to the picture-sharing site, Rachel shared a snap as she cradled her baby bump next to the Countdown board.
“Pash and I have a conundrum for you…you have till December to work it out!” she quipped in the caption. “We’re over the moon excited.”
On the board, the letters spelled “R TINY MATE”, an anagram of “maternity”.
The cute Instagram post saw the Countdown favourite appear to confirm her due date, December.
