Alongside the snap, she added: “This virus has made me realise what an a**e I’ve been taking so many small things for granted. Life can change SO fast in days.

“I’ve never felt such relief and gratitude that Billy could make it home before the travel ban kicked in. This surreal time has made me reflect on what matters most.

She continued: “It’s actually the BEST timing it could ever be!! I don’t care that there was no party, or a romantic foreign destination. The only thing that matters, is being together. I’m so lucky and so grateful that he can be home."

Musician Billy also shared the news on his own social media with the same photo.

He wrote: “She did indeed say yes!”

Leilani Dowding joined Real Housewives of Cheshire last year and is already a firm favourite.

The TV star has spoken openly on the ITVBe series about how she does not want children, while her partner, The Cult's Billy, is not able to have children as a result of having prostate cancer.

The glamorous star opened up to OK! online about her decision to not have children and the reaction that she’s met with because of her decision.

About joining the popular reality show, which also stars Dawn Ward and Tanya Bardsley, Leilani says: “It’s been really good, I was expecting a few trolls and stuff but everything has been really positive. Things have got a little overwhelming for me but all in all it has been a really positive experience.

"I have had a lot of women reach out to me that can’t have kids or don’t want them and have said that they are really happy that there is someone on the show representing that. It’s been even more positive than I expected.”

Leilani then opened up on Billy having prostate cancer in the past, meaning he cannot have children naturally. His diagnosis came only six months after he and Leilani began dating.

She said: “And obviously, Billy had prostate cancer. Six months into the relationship he was diagnosed. It was very early on so we had to have that conversation. And obviously all my friends in America knew, my best friend in England knew, my family knew, so when the biopsy results came back, I was in complete shock.

“And it was a case of, he’s never going to have kids naturally now. He said: ‘Do you want children?’. Because once the prostate is removed, a man doesn’t produce sperm or semen anymore. So we had that conversation very early on and that was the problem at the dinner [on the show].

“I thought whether I should tell these women that – they don’t really know me. It’s a lot to disclose and I hadn’t spoken about it for a year and a half. It wasn’t something that was public. I thought: ‘Do I talk about it?’ And eventually, I did. Because I didn’t want them to think I was weird for crying at the dinner table! There was a reason why. I definitely didn’t hold anything back."
