Robbie Williams fan dies after horror fall at concert

A woman – believed to be in her 70s – was rushed to hospital and later died after falling down down six rows of seats at Robbie Williams concert.

The former Take That singer performed his first night of his Australian XXV tour at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney in front of a sold-out crowd of 38,000 fans.

The horrifying accident happened after the show ended while thousands of concert-goers were filing out of the stadium.

On Tuesday, medical authorities from St Vincent’s Hospital confirmed she had died after being placed into an induced coma.

Paramedics treated her at the scene for head and facial injuries.

Arena operator Venues NSW confirmed there had been a “serious incident”.

The organisers said: “This is a terribly sad incident and our thoughts and wishes are with the patron and their family during this time.

“The patron was attended to immediately by venue staff and a nearby guest who is a qualified medical professional.

“Medics arrived shortly after and the patron was taken from the venue by ambulance to hospital.”
