Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony To Feature Tribute To Eddie Van Halen

The upcoming 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will feature a special tribute to Eddie Van Halen, who passed away on October 6 after a long battle with cancer.

Cleveland.com says that the tribute will be “part of the Rock Hall special’s in memoriam section, which also honors other rock and roll legends who have died over the past year and a half.”

The site further notes that the salute to Eddie will “feature multiple guitar gods paying homage to the Van Halen guitarist.”

Eddie was inducted into the Hall along with the other members of Van Halen in 2007.

This year’s Rock Hall of Fame induction event will be broadcast live on HBO on November 7, at 8 p.m. Eastern time and available to stream on HBO Max.

Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., T. Rex and Ahment Ertegun Award honorees Jon Landau and Irving Azoff are among the Rock Hall of Fame inductees this year.

Special guests this year include Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Billy Gibbons, Dave Grohl, Jennifer Hudson, Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, Ringo Starr, Gwen Stefani and Charlize Theron.
