Heather Rae Young is best known as one of the stars of Netflix’s popular reality series Selling Sunset. Her husband, Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa, is also famous in his own right.
But Young first stepped into the spotlight in a very different way. She was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in February 2010, and posed fully nude for the publication.
Now that she is known for her work as a real estate agent and TV star, fans may wonder if Young has any regrets about her Playboy past. She told The Sun in November 2021 that working for the men’s magazine “changed her life.”
“It catapulted my career, it changed my life, it was the most defining moment in my life,” Young said. “I don’t regret anything I’ve ever done. I’m proud of my life. Everything I’ve done has got me to where I am today.”

The Selling Sunset star’s comments reflect what she told Playboy in May 2020 when she spoke about how posing for Playboy opened doors for her and ultimately helped her career.
“It changed my life for the better. I would never take it back,” Young said. “I believe everything happens for a reason. I really, truly do.”
She went on to describe how working for Playboy prepared her for reality TV fame. “If I hadn’t posed for Playboy, I wouldn’t have met the people who led me to where I am now,” Young explained. “Playboy got me used to being in front of crowds and being good on camera. Meeting fans as a Playmate prepped me for the fans I have now, from the show.”
She added, “After modeling and appearing in Playboy, real estate felt like a good transition for me because I’d met so many people and I’m really good at building relationships and making contacts.”

Heather Rae Young says she has no regrets about her Playboy past, but her life is very different now. She is a TV personality married to another public figure, and she calls herself a “bonus mommy” to Tarek El Moussa’s two children with his ex-wife, Christina Haack.
Young is the stepmother to El Moussa’s 11-year-old daughter, Taylor, and 6-year-old son, Brayden. She admits she’s not sure how to tell them about her naked photos.
“I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to tell the kids I did Playboy,” Young told The Sun.
