In his interview with GQ for the Men of the Year issue, Tom shared that when they started filming, several key people hadn’t even signed on for the movie yet.

“Some people were trying to figure out whether they wanted to do it, and we needed all of them or none,” he told the mag.

No Way Home was reportedly supposed to be released after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but due to COVID delays, they were switched, which meant they had to make some changes.

“You could ask the director, ‘What happens in act three?’ And his response would be, ‘I’m still trying to figure it out,’” Tom said about the script being rewritten almost daily.

He then added that while filming the big finale, it wasn’t quite working out.

“I kept stopping and being like, ‘I’m so sorry, I just don’t believe what I’m saying,’” Tom shared.

“We sat down, we went through it, and we came up with a new idea,” he added. “Then we pitched it to the writers, they rewrote it, and it works great.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be released on December 17th and the new Doctor Strange film is scheduled for May 6, 2022.
