Vanessa Feltz has opened up about how she doesn't feel "comfortable" being single following her split from cheating fiancé Ben Ofoedu.
Following her split, the TV presenter, 61, has signed up to appear on the E4 series Celebs Go Dating, in the hopes of finding love again.
Ahead of the show, Vanessa has revealed that it was her daughters Allegra and Saskia that encouraged her to take part in the show.
Speaking to The Mirror: "[They've been] very good about it. Both my daughters are big fans of the show. They said there's no downside, definitely do it. My friends have all been really encouraging."
Discussing how she's not a fan of being single, Vanessa continued: "I'm not someone who is comfortable with being single, I don't like it. People who like it, that's great but, I don't like it."
Vanessa previously opened up to OK! about how she was "terrified" to start dating again after having not been on a first date in 17 years.
She told us: "It’s been very exciting and good fun, but let’s put it this way, for the very first couple of days I was terrified.
"I haven’t been on a date for 17 years. But once you do it more and you calm down, it’s fine. I’m no longer terrified."
Vanessa also shared that keeping busy and surrounding herself with her friends and family enabled her to distract herself from her broken heart.
She told OK!: "I think it’s important to have excitement in your life. Whether it’s someone’s birthday, a party or a day out, looking forward to something is what human beings need."
The mum-of-two then discussed how this horrible period of her life has actually made her realise how 'lucky' she is to be surrounded by close family and wonderful friends.
"This period of my life has also shown me how lucky I am because it turns out I’ve got a lot more friends than I ever realised," she continued.
"People have been fantastically supportive and kind; from those I’ve known for years to even members of the public, everyone has just been incredible."
Vanessa also paid credit to followers on Instagram who send her "messages" of kindness' every day.
"Things have been remarkable on Instagram. I’ve turned off my comments because I don’t think I’m quite strong enough yet to go through those, but I do get thousands of messages every day from people showing kindness.
