Singer turned businesswoman Victoria Beckham, 46, faced backlash back in April after a “small proportion” of staff at her fashion brand were put on the Government’s furlough scheme. A representative for the brand later revealed the decision had been reversed.

Reflecting on her business as a whole, Victoria admitted there had been “missteps” along the way, but said she is aware of how lucky she is.

She said: “I’m really lucky to be surrounded by talented people who work hard, respect one another and inspire me every day.

“I’d like to think we are a kind brand and that we extend that to our wider community.

“Of course, we all have missteps along the way, but we try to learn from them and apply that learning as we go forward.”

The former Spice Girl went on to say she believes the pandemic has made “kindness even more important”.

“Right now, there is so much uncertainty and we are all scared and nervous,” she added to Vogue Magazine.

Reflecting on her family life with husband David and their four children, she added: “We know how lucky and blessed we are,” as she highlighted how the family had been helping less fortune people during the difficult time.

Victoria said they had collectively been doing some work with older people in the community and had also been putting together parcels containing essential items.

In a rare admission about their home life, the mother-of-four went on to say it is David Beckham, who has been doing the cooking during lockdown.

She added: “I’m very good at clearing up and doing the housework!

“I feel so incredibly lucky to be in a position that allows me to be safely at home with my family and be able to see the positives of this extraordinary time in our lives,” Victoria continued.

The former Spice Girl, David and their children Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15, and Harper, nine, had been staying at their home in Cotswolds during the pandemic.
