One name that you’ll be hearing a lot about in the weeks to come is probably going to be Hope Hicks, the Trump aide who tested positive for coronavirus right before the president did as well.
While we don’t have an exact timeline of when everyone was tested, Trump tweeted that he had been tested after news went out that Hicks received a positive test. She had been on the campaign trail with him this week and seemingly was working close to him.
So, who is Hope Hicks?
Hope kicked off her career in 2012 with a job at the public relations firm Hiltzik Strategies, where she worked on Ivanka Trump‘s fashion line and later worked on other Trump businesses. She joined the Trump Organization as a full-time employee in August 2014 and helped Ivanka expand her fashion line.
Soon after, Hope started working directly for Donald Trump and she was selected as his press secretary for his potential presidential campaign in January 2015, when she was only 26.
After Trump won the election, she joined his administration as the White House director of strategic communications and she later became the White House communications director until her resignation in March 2018.
Hope returned to the White House in February 2020 as an aide to Jared Kushner and a “counselor to the president.”
One of the only times Hope has spoken publicly can be seen in the video below.
Some interesting facts about Hope include that she grew up in Connecticut, she once worked as a model and even appears on the cover of a Gossip Girl spin-off book, and she had a cameo on Guiding Light.
