Denise Welch reveals her 'dirty' joke that broke Tom Cruise and Michael Caine

Denise Welch was a guest at Sir Michael Caine’s 90th birthday in London on Tuesday and the Loose Women star has since shared a slew of snaps of her time celebrating the A-lister’s milestone birthday.

Also in attendance were the likes of David Walliams and Tom Cruise. Yes, that Tom Cruise.

A day after the star-studded bash, Denise, 64, revealed that she’d been asked by Sir Michael’s wife Shakira to ‘say a few words’.

But Denise didn’t just stick with a customary happy birthday. Instead, she launched into a rather X-rated joke that left A-lister Tom, 60, in stitches.

Standing at the head of the table, Denise said: ‘Only the other morning, Shakira said she heard a scream from downstairs.

‘It was Michael shouting, “Shakira look, there’s a parcel, my Olympic condoms have come”.’

Denise went on: ‘He said, “I’m going to wear the gold ones tonight”, and she said, “Why not wear the silver and come f***ing second for a change?”’

The camera then panned around the table, revealing everyone, including Top Gun star Tom, was killing themselves laughing.

Former Coronation Street star Denise captioned her post: ‘Such an honour to be asked by Shakira to say a few words at Sir Michael Caines’ 90th birthday!!!

‘He loves a dirty joke and so does @tomcruise it appears!!!! Great night and amazing company.’

Tom took time out of his busy schedule on Tuesday night to pose for snaps with former Britain’s Got Talent judge David, 51, and his pal Sir Michael on his big birthday, which he appeared to celebrate with an intimate dinner.

David took to social media with some snaps of himself posing with the Minority Report star and Hollywood veteran Sir Michael.

The trio are all smiles in the various snaps, a few of which show Tom and Sir Michael sitting side-by-side and clearly enjoying each other’s company.
