Meghan Markle may have concluded her 10-day tour of South Africa on Oct. 2, but Duchess Kate Middleton is now on her way out — to Pakistan starting Oct. 14. And along with her, she and Prince William are taking a group of 14 people on the tour, including one very special guest.
Harper’s Bazaar reported that Kate Middleton and Prince William’s tour group includes a “privately-funded hairstylist” believed to be Amanda Cook Tucker, Middleton’s go-to hairstylist. Tucker, who has worked alongside the Duchess since 2012, is reported to be part of Middleton’s “A” team for royal engagements and overseas tours, according to Grazia. Why is this so important? It means we’re about to blessed with a whole lot of photo-perfect, bouncy blowouts.
Tucker is more than merely Middleton’s preferred blow-dry professional. Tucker was Prince George’s second visitor in the hospital when he was born in July 2013. She also cuts and styles Middleton’s hair in Middleton’s Kensington Palace home. And, get this: She even cut William and Harry’s hair when they were younger.
So, what does it take to style Middleton’s hair? Back in January 2018, Tucker posted to her private Instagram the sheer number of supplies she uses on Middleton, and it includes:
- 13 brushes,
- six combs,
- three hair tongs,
- two hairdryers, and
- seven hair products.
And, according to People at the time, the majority of the hair products cost less than £8 (or just around $10) and include Elnett’s Supreme Hold Hairspray, Charles Worthington’s Texturizing Spray, and an Essential Maximum Hold Unperfumed Hairspray.
Only the best for the royal family, amirite?
