Katherine Ryan’s comments to Russell Brand have been revealed after they appeared together on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle in 2018.
It was previously reported that fellow comedian Ryan, 40, accused Brand, 48, of inappropriate behaviour ’a number of times’ during filming.
According to Deadline, she outed the allegations during production, with a source claiming that he was ‘furious’ by the move.
Now, as more women come forward with accusations of sexual assault, rape, and controlling behaviour from past interactions with Brand, exactly what Ryan told him has come to light.
Brand – who was axed from the programme after just one series – engaged in comical roasts with Ryan as they exchanged one-liners and banter.
However, one of Ryan’s remarks never made it to air.
Ryan reportedly aimed a dig at Brand, telling him: ‘I will remind you of that if any victims come out.’
She is also said to have referred to his 14-month marriage to pop star Katy Perry and how he announced he wanted a divorce via text message.
As per The Times, a source who worked in production said Brand was ‘uncomfortable’ as Ryan targeted him with her comments, rather than simply performing as a judge.
‘After the show finished, Brand was furious that those two things had been said to him,’ they said.
Following his exit, Brand was replaced on the show by Jonathan Ross for the next series.
It’s said that Roast Battle’s production company Fulwell 73 had also grown ‘uncomfortable with the rumours swirling’ around Brand’s alleged behaviour.
Ryan has been a hot topic of conversation on social media in recent days as an interview she did with Louis Theroux has been doing the rounds.
Speaking to the documentary maker last November, the Canadian star expressed her beliefs about an alleged attacker in the showbiz industry.
Without naming anyone, the TV personality said she believed they were a ‘perpetrator of sexual assault’.
‘It’s not really my story to tell,’ she told the presenter. ‘No one has perpetrated any sexual assault against me, but this person, I believe very strongly – many people believe very strongly – is an open secret, is a perpetrator of sexual assault.
‘I, in front of loads of people, in the format of the show said to this person’s face that they are a predator.’
When asked whether her remarks were kept in the episode, Ryan added: ‘No, which is fine. I still got paid and I still did my job, but I did it in my way, which I thought was fair.’
Meanwhile, Brand has denied the serious allegations against him which made headlines over the weekend following a lengthy investigation conducted by Channel 4 and The Times.
He admitted to being ‘promiscuous’ back in the day, but insisted any sexual encounters were ‘consensual’.
However, his career has taken several blows over recent days.
YouTube has suspended Brand from monetising his video content for ‘violating Creator Responsibility policy’ after the ‘serious allegations.’
Investigations are also underway at the BBC and Channel 4, where Brand used to host TV and radio shows at the height of his fame.
As well, the Metropolitan Police has received a report of an alleged sexual assault that took place in Soho, London in 2003.
Brand’s stand-up tour dates have also been postponed by the venues he was set to perform in.
He has been keeping a low profile since the allegations made national news, but claimed ahead of their publication that he was subjected to ‘coordinated media attacks’.

He claimed he had ‘witnesses whose evidence directly contradicts the narratives that these two mainstream media outlets are trying to construct, apparently in what seems to me to be a coordinated attack.’
‘Now, I don’t want to get into this any further because of the serious nature of the allegations, but I feel like I’m being attacked and plainly they are working very closely together.
‘We are obviously going to look into this matter because it’s very, very serious.’
