Lewis Capaldi reveals last voice note he sent girlfriend and it's a jaw-dropper

Lewis Capaldi caught up with Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Wednesday and played the Heart Breakfast hosts the last voice note he sent his new girlfriend Ellie MacDowall.

After proudly telling Amanda and Jamie: ‘Yeah, I’ve got a girlfriend,’ the 26-year-old hitmaker was asked to play the last voice note he sent Ellie, 23.

Shockingly, the last audio message he sent his new beau didn’t feature ‘I love you’ or any words of affection at all for that matter, but rather, a long, loud fart.

Clearly shocked after Lewis played the message, Jamie, 52, remarked: ‘I feel like we put all this work into your love life and now you’re just…’

Meanwhile, Amanda, also 52, couldn’t stop laughing as Lewis said on air: ‘You’ve got to love me for me. Warts and all.’

As for what Ellie said when she received the message, Lewis explained: ‘She just said, “I didn’t understand what it was at first…did you send s*** like that to your exes?”’

It’s not the first time Lewis has shared an insight into his new romance.

Earlier this month, the award-winning crooner told Radio 2’s Scott Mills: ‘I have a girlfriend and that’s going really well.

‘I am a happy chappy, she’s a lovely lady. I feel good about everything.’

Lewis was first linked to actress Ellie in December, and the pair were later seen sharing a kiss at the audience of the Brit awards in February before heading to an afterparty together.

An onlooker at the party, held at 180 The Strand, told the Sun at the time: ‘It’s official, Lewis is in love and he couldn’t be happier.

‘He has been dating Ellie for some time now and while they are usually very low key, he couldn’t keep his hands off her at the after-party.

‘It was very sweet to see him so happy, and Ellie clearly adores him too.’

Listen to Jamie and Amanda on Heart weekdays from 6:30am.
