On Sept 25, Douglas shared a touching tribute to his wife Zeta-Jones on his Instagram. He posted the photo with the caption reading, “Have a great new year darling! Wishing you a very happy birthday! All my love, Michael ❤️ @catherinezetajones.”

In the black and white snapshot, we see Douglas giving a smiling Zera-Jones a kiss on the forehead. Truly, we love an adorable PDA moment like this one.
On the same day, merely minutes apart, the Rebound star shared a compilation video honoring her husband. She shared the video to her Instagram with the caption reading, “It’s Michael’s Birthday! It my Birthday! Happy birthday @michaelkirkdouglas, love you!”

The pair met back at the Deauville American Film Festival in France in August 1998, after being introduced to one another by none other than Danny DeVito. They didn’t hit it off immediately, but soon, after Douglas kept trying, and soon, they fell in love (and have been in love ever since!)
They married two years later in Nov 2000, welcoming two children named Dylan, 23, and Carys, 20.
In a super-rare interview with WSJ Magazine, Zeta-Jones discussed the secret to her and Douglas’ long marriage. “My husband is 25 years older than me; that’s not a secret. With any relationship, it wouldn’t be normal if there weren’t any ups and downs,” she said. “The constant is love and respect.”
