Roman Kemp was left red faced when his mum Shirlie Kemp revealed intimate details about his private parts on live radio.
The 30-year-old breakfast show host invited his popstar mum Shirlie, 61, to join him as he addressed the nation on Thursday morning.
During their chat that was broadcast live on Capital Breakfast, the mum-of-two admitted some embarrassing information about her only son.
She explained that the presenter was born in America and caused the local hospital a spot of bother after they struggled to locate his manhood.
While playing a game of Home Truths, Shirlie revealed: ‘When you were born, which was in America 1993, I remember it well.
‘We were so excited, Dad and I was so excited… didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl or… just so happy to have another baby.
‘But the hospital staff took you away for quite a long time. And we were getting really really worried… all because they said there was a problem finding your willy.’
The musical star that found fame with Wham! while part of pop duo Pepsi & Shirlie chatted about the latest Netflix documentary which follow’s the famous group’s story.
She reflected on her friendship with the late George Michael and admitted watching the film was ‘really hard’.
Shirlie shared: ‘I did sit with a huge smile on my face. Obviously it was a double edged sword going to see something with your best friends and one of your best friends is no longer here.
‘That was really hard. But the film captured George’s fun, his intentions that he was there. So it gave me something that yeah, it was really fulfilling for me.’
She also opened up about a special moment the pair of musicians shared while in Ibiza and remembered the time Michael came out to her on the Balearic Island.
‘He actually said to me, he went to Ibiza first and said “will you fly out, or come out, I want to have a good chat with you about something”,’ she started.
The wife of Martin Kemp continued: ‘I flew out before the crew and everyone and that’s when he said to me, “I think I’m gay” and I was like “oh okay, that’s alright” and it was such a big thing for him to build up, and it wasn’t that big thing to me, and it didn’t change anything for me, but what was very sad was that he was worried about his friends reaction, and Andrew’s reaction.
‘And I said “this is going to make no difference to Andrew” , as it’s shown in the documentary, I’m in George’s room and we call Andrew in, he tells Andrew, and Andrew reacts just as I did, “oh right let’s get on with it”.’
