DIY fanatic bags £335 worth of paint for just £35 in B&Q monster sale – and they were all on trend Valspar grey

WHO says home renovations have to cost a fortune? If you're looking to revamp your living space on a budget, then you might want to check out the clearance section of your nearest B&Q ASAP.

Posting on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one savvy DIY fan revealed how they bagged £336 worth of grey Valspar paint for just £35 – and we'll race you to the checkouts.

Sharing a photo of their epic haul, the shopper explained how she'd read about the huge savings in the B&Q clearance section on a money-saving forum.

She wrote: "Hopefully this will help someone. I plan on renovating and read a couple of months ago about someone purchasing paint for a fraction of the price at B&Q in the clearance section."

But the advice exceeded the shopper's wildest expectations when she found multiple tubs of Valspar paint reduced to clear.

She wrote: "Overjoyed isn’t the word as all the colours are shades of grey from the Valspar range which is what I had been looking for!!!"

In total, the woman bagged eight tins of paint in varying sizes – including an £80 10l tub which had been reduced to just £10 and a £46 one for a fiver.

Although stock varies from store-to-store, the woman picked up these bargains in B&Q's Greenwich branch – and they seem to have been reduced to clear because the lids were slightly damaged.

Unsurprisingly, other members of the money-saving group were amazed by the deals – and are desperate to stock up themselves.

"I did this a few months ago too," one replied. "Managed to do my whole house for under £50!"

Another gushed: "That is truly amazing!!"

"I love the Valspar paint," a third wrote. "It’s all we buy now as it goes on so nicely and is easy to clean off marks etc without damaging the paint."

For more bargain buys, Aldi’s new kitchen range looks just like designer brand Smeg but costs £250 less.

And shoppers are loving Aldi’s £3.99 tie-dye kits – and claim they will colour TEN t-shirts.

Plus this mum showed off huge Asda haul for £37 – including Disney baby clothes for just £2.
