A NEW mum has shared an inventive hack for keeping her toddler comfortably cool in the summer months.
In her successful Instagram series “Things I Wish I Knew As A First Time Mom”, mumfluencer Autumn Grace, aka @honestlyautumnb, says she relies on none other than frozen marshmallows.
Explaining the reason behind her niche choice, Autumn said it was the perfect solution as actual ice packs are far too cold to hand over to her child.
So, instead, she came up with the idea of trying out marshmallows – and it worked so well she wants other parents to know all about it.
As footage of her placing the sweet treat in the freezer played out, Autumn told her followers: “Next time you get marshmallows, put them in the freezer.
“These make the best ice packs for tiny humans because they don’t get too cold.”

The video, which has been liked over 14,000 times, has been an instant hit with other social media users.
One wrote: “Wow best tip! Love this so much!!!” A second added: “Whoa!!! That is amazing!!! Thank you for this tip.”
A third was in agreement and said: “OMG! I will stop right now at the market on my way home to get a bag of marshmallows.”
As others hailed the hack “genius”, some shared what they use to keep their child cool, or to soothe them if they’ve hurt themselves.

While others commented that they were “also great for sore throats” as another alternative remedy.
