ONCE upon a time, there was a Rachel, Lauren and an Ashley in practically every nursery and school.
These days, with names such as Isla and Milo taking over in the popularity stakes, you'd struggle to come across a baby Shannon or a baby Curtis.
In fact, according to the Office for National Statistics, there are a number of baby names that are going to become "extinct" this year.
Taking the top spot for girls names, there's expected to be no baby Kirstys or baby Shannons.
For boys, parents across the country are unlikely to name their son Craig or Jordan.
Other names thought to be completely eradicated this year are Lauren, Samantha, Connor and Callum.
