I don’t like my tummy in bikinis – then I remember I would’ve felt sick wearing them two years ago, I’ve come a long way | The Sun

A WOMAN who turned her life around following her amazing weight loss has finally learned to love her tummy in a bikini.

Before she dropped the pounds, the thought of wearing a two-piece would have made her feel sick.

But today, she is able to finally acknowledge that she has come a long way.

Therese O'Callaghan (@thereseoca) is super proud of what she has achieved.

It hasn't always been the easiest of journeys for her but she has charted her weight loss on her TikTok.

She has attracted overwhelming support on the platform with over 87,000 followers and another 3.3 million likes.

“Just here to vibe,” she said, "50 lbs down."

In this post, Therese illustrated how far she had come, not just in weight loss, but in her perception of herself.

This Northern Irish lady was photographed standing on a pebbly beach.

She wore a bright pink two-piece and captioned it: “I don’t like my belly in this bikini.”

But then she showed an image of her pre-weight loss, wearing a thigh-skimming animal print dress.

The woman in this photo would never have considered wearing swimwear that exposed her so much.

“We’re wearing a bikini?” she exclaimed. Then implored other women going through their own weight loss journeys to have faith.

“Don’t forget how far you’ve come," she said. "It can be very easy to be harsh on yourself."

“But me two years ago would’ve felt sick at the thought of wearing a bikini. Be proud of yourself," she pleaded.

There was awe at her achievement in the comments section of her post.

"I've watched you right from the start and you are such an inspiration," gushed one fan.

"You looked stunning before too. And you absolutely could have worn a bikini then too. But you look so much more comfortable now," said this follower.

In the closing comment, this viewer admired her: "You look beyond amazing. I look up to you."
