According to one cleaning guru, the radiators are often one of the most neglected parts of a property – but they’re often in need of desperate attention.


Home experts at brand Purdy & Figg have shared how radiators, which are often in most rooms of the home, collect dirt and grime.

But they have revealed that there’s an easy way to fix it and get them sparkling in no time at all. 

Purdy & Figg, who are on TikTok as @purdyandfigg, uploaded a video of them cleaning the radiators and showing exactly how it’s done.

They explained: “If you’re like me, you probably have a really dusty radiator.”

They then went through the step-by-step guide, starting out with an unlikely cleaning gadget – a hairdryer.

Purdy & Figg then showed how they remove the upper cover and blast their hairdryer into the gaps.

They explained: “The first tip is to use a hairdryer to loosen all the dust.

“I then use my hoover to remove it all – as you can see it went all over the floor.

“Then just make a mixture of warm water and eco-concentrate.”

Once the cleaning mixture is made, grab a microfiber cloth to wipe away any lingering grime.
