I’m a make-up whizz – how to make sure your under-eye concealer NEVER wears off again, all you need is a tissue | The Sun

THERE’S nothing more annoying than when your under-eye concealer seemingly wears off just after you’ve applied it, leaving you with rather unattractive dark circles as though you haven’t slept for a week.

So one make-up whizz has weighed in with her foolproof method for ensuring that you continue to look bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the entire day – and the only thing you need is a tissue.

Asta Jurksaite is a professional make-up artist who regularly shares easy tutorials and tips with the 391k followers on her account @Makeup.By.Asta.

And in a recent clip, she delighted fans by disclosing her simple method for stopping your concealer from creasing or rubbing off.

“If your concealer moves after powdering it, you’ve gotta watch this,” the voiceover begins.

Asta starts by padding on a brightening concealer to the dark bags under her eyes, using her finger to dab the cream into her skin.

“Use one-ply tissue,” the narrator explains, “then blot off the excess product”.

If you don’t have one-ply, you can get the same effect by simply peeling a normal tissue apart until you’re left with one super-thin layer.

The cosmetics buff then takes the same tissue, and grabs a brush with some loose translucent powder.

She uses the Laura Mercier one, well-known for its fab blurring and setting combination.

Asta then explains you should “powder through the tissue”, demonstrating on her own face.

It might seem counter-intuitive, but the tissue is so thin that it allows just the right amount of make-up to permeate through, giving you a flawless finish and minimising the excess product that causes an unattractive cakey or creased look.

“It’s gonna last all day,” she assures, showing off her flawless-looking under-eyes.

Asta’s nifty tip racked up a huge 11.7k likes, with users sharing the love for the method in the comments.

“Genius!! Thank you queen,” one fan gushed.

“Thank you,” another wrote, “definitely trying this,” accompanying their comment with a praying hands emoji.

It’s not the only concealer hack that social media users have been loving over the past few weeks.

A former make-up artist at Charlotte Tilbury’s swanky stall suggests warming-up your product before you apply it, because it helps it blend into the skin better.

If you rub a splodge of concealer on the back of your hand before applying, it should get a thicker, tackier consistency, providing more coverage and setting seemlessly.
