I’m a model — my industry fashion tips will help you look slimmer, taller & more expensive | The Sun

DO you want to look slimmer, taller, and more expensive the way models do on runways and in magazines?

One professional in the modeling industry has advice for people who are interested in looking just as great as her.

TikToker and model Liz Seibert posted a video breaking down some of the things she's learned over the years.

While pursuing her modeling career, she's amassed over a million followers on TikTok.

She starts her video by saying: "I'm going to show you some fashion secrets that all models use."

Her first tip is about the tops you choose to wear with jeans.

I’m a fashion expert – look younger by ditching ‘age appropriate’ style

She says: "Models don't usually wear crop tops because they actually make you look shorter.

"Instead, try a bodysuit that tucks into your pants. It creates the illusion of length because it doesn't cut off your body in the middle like a crop top does."

Her second tip is about the colors you choose to wear.

"It's important to think about the colors you're pairing together," she says.

"If you wear a dark top on light bottoms, the contrast will cut off your body and make you look shorter.

"Instead, try and outfit with similar shades on top and bottom. The continuous shade will create an illusion of length, making you look a lot taller.

"The same effect can be had with an entirely light or neutral outfit. If for any reason you wanted to look shorter, just do the opposite."

Her final tip is about the way you complete your overall look.

She says: "Finish off your outfit with some fine jewelry and a nude manicure.

"This will make you look effortless but expensive, which is exactly what clients want.

"Of course, never wear your hair tie on your wrist – or you will not be booked for a [modeling] job!"

A few hundred people have responded in Liz's comment section on TikTok about her fashion advice from a model's perspective.

One person wrote: "I noticed that my fave models really have their nails simple, not the Instagram nails."

"I love you so much. I’m only 5’2" and I want to be a commercial model. This is so helpful," another person added.
