I’m a mum and used a trick to get my baby to say mama – but everyone’s saying I’ll regret it | The Sun

PARENTS are always competing on whose name their baby is going to say first.

One mum has revealed a trick she used to make sure her baby said mama – although people have warned she might regret it.

Sharing the trick on TikTok, Trojaczka mama, revealed all you need is a willing partner and a biscuit.

To get her son to say mama she takes the biscuit and pretends to fed it to her husband every time he says mama as a 'reward'.

While her son is being held by her partner, he continues to report the word.

By the fifth time, her baby slowly catches on and utters 'mama,' as she then gives him the biscuit.

But not everyone thought the trick was a good idea and said the mum might regret it later down the line.

Another person commented: "Now your baby will call food mama."

SOLE PURPOSE

A third penned: "Now instead of saying "I'm hungry" the baby will say "mama" for is whole life."

Meanwhile a fourth added: "The kid now thinks it means food."

However, there were plenty of other parents who thought it was a genius way to teach a baby new words.

One commented: "That's actually the smartest thing I've seen this year."

Another wrote: "This is the best strategy I've seen so far in teaching kids how to talk. fascinating."
