Kerry King reveals what the Universe has in store for you this week… according to Tarot

EVERY Sunday, our resident Tarotscope reader Kerry King will be revealing what surprises, challenges and excitement awaits you in the week ahead.

Kerry has been practising tarot readings for the last 20 years, starting from reading for friends to amassing an international client list.

Using her strong intuition and deep knowledge and understanding of the horoscope, she is able to provide accurate and encouraging predictions for the coming days.

Here's her predictions for YOUR star sign…

Aries (Four of Swords, Three of Swords, Judgement)

You need to step back (a long way back) from a toxic situation.

The Four of Swords is the tarot's "sick note" card and says you'd better withdraw to get some RnR, or life will just nudge you harder.

Judgement shows that a cycle in your life is drawing to a close and that, away from the action, it's time to reflect upon events, emotions and learnings.

Acknowledge and accept what has happened, and the role you've played yourself here.

Appreciate any value or wisdom you can glean from this, and prepare to move on.

I get the feeling that something "bad" has happened in this chapter, a wound or betrayal dealt to you by another.

The Three of Swords represents relationship turmoil and signals it's time to surgically remove the root cause of this trauma and stress from your life, once and for all.

Remember, too, that anything "bad" (at the time) always has a silver lining (down the line).

In short: get the heck outta there. Now.

Taurus (The Emperor, Nine of Wands, Ten of Swords)

Taurus, you’'re in charge of your life – no one else.

Other people might have a whole heap of opinions and judgements about you, but they don't have to live your life, or walk in your shoes.

And their opinions are their own private business, and none of yours!

I sound stroppy here because the Nine of Wands and Ten of Swords show you're holding back from doing what it is that YOU truly want to do.

I think you think it's going to a lot harder than it is. I think you secretly underestimate your courage and resilience, or ability to "go it alone".

The biggest "power card" of them all, The Emperor, is with you this week to lend you his determination and focus to make the first move on the journey you want to be on.

Don't lie to yourself, or others, any longer. Make this change, make this happen, make yourself happy.

It's easier than you think.

Gemini (Queen of Swords, Ten of Coins, The Chariot)

You're a natural solo kinda character anyway, most of the time, Gemmy, and this week that proves to be an asset.

The Queen of Swords has you fighting your own battle, albeit the conflict feels good because you're confident you're the better contender (*SPOILER* you are).

This is about money, financial success, long term security, as shown by the Ten of Coins, so it's a battle worth digging in for, and you know it.

The Chariot implies there's a hidden life undercurrent going on here, too.

All this is perhaps making you put down deeper roots and commitments to your current home/career/relationships than you realise (shock, horror!).

Well, we've all got to make our bed to lie in at some point, you know, and the fact you're prepared to fight for this proves this IS where you want to be.

Defend your kingdom, get what you deserve.

Cancer (Knight of Cups, The Magician, King of Cups)

The Knight and King of Cups hint that you've got an object of affection in your sights, and you're going to put a plan (a cunning one) into action to ignite this romance.

The Magician is all about using your strengths and talents to manifest what you desire, and you're down with that.

It's not necessarily making the first move, it's "encouraging" the right conditions for THEM to make the first move.

You're just "fluffing" the situation, so to speak!

Cancer, you're an expert at this. No one is as adept at romantic conquests as you, so I'll let you get on with it.

If this person is another Water sign (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio) then EVEN better – you may find they're thinking the same thing!

Have fun!

Leo (Ten of Coins, Five of Coins, Two of Cups)

The myth of "having it all" is one you probably buy into. After all, you're an "extra" kind of character and you like the sound of ALL.

The Ten of Coins shows you'll be tested on that, this week, however by being asked to make a sacrifice (Five of Coins) or take a loss in order to reap happiness and security down the line (Ten of Coins).

I sense this is linked to a relationship or your love life, as the Two of Cups is there too, reminding you that your relationships ARE the most important thing in your life and, if you have to lose someplace else in order to win there, well, you will, no doubt about it.

Make sure your partner/friend/family member knows what you've done (you won't be able to help yourself telling them anyway, Leo, I know you).

They'll be very touched. And so they should be.

Virgo (King of Coins, Five of Wands, The Fool)

You'd really, REALLY like to make a fresh start someplace in your life, as shown by The Fool.

This card is the patron saint of new beginnings, often ones which others don't understand, but come from our own personal enthusiasms and optimism.

You're your own worst critic, though, Virgo!

The Five of Wands has you arguing with yourself about all the "cons" of this situation and talking yourself OUT of making what could be an inspirational move.

The King of Coins shows that your fears are, as ever, rooted in practical and material matters – time, money, resources. Will you "make it", if you go ahead and do this?

Virgo, yes you can and yes you will. You're a resilient, pragmatic survivor, you're clear-eyed and conscientious enough to make anything work.

SO, don’t talk yourself out of this opportunity. Go for it.

Libra (Four of Coins, The Lovers, Six of Wands)

Oh crumbs, Libra, your least favourite activity: making decisions!

Yes, it's time. The Lovers shows you're in two (or more) minds about something – perhaps a head vs heart kind of conflict.

The Four of Coins shows you're in danger of falling into a rut, of sticking with the status quo because it's the path of least resistance.

And yet, you know, deep down, you DO want change. So that means doing something differently, right? Right.

The Six of Wands reassures you that taking the harder path will lead to success, prosperity, happiness and satisfaction – it's like a "high five" from the tarot, so make the tough choice.

And feel confident you're doing the right thing, no second guessing.

Don't avoid this choice any longer.

Scorpio (Death, Page of Wands, Seven of Wands)

It's a foolish soul who would dare to back you into a corner, Scorpio, but someone or something has, as shown by the Seven of Wands.

That perceived threat and sense of rivalry or conflict is going to force you into some new thinking and behaviour that, actually, down the line, you’ll look back and be grateful for.

Sometimes, it's the hardships that give us the greatest lessons and opportunity to grow.

Death is the tarot's transformation card, so this little adventure will bring a real sense of new news and renewal.

You might not recognise yourself in a week's time!

The Page of Wands also reassures you that this is a process, a journey, an evolution.

Don't expect perfection right away, let yourself try new stuff and let some of it fail.

You're meeting new challenges with new solutions, and not everything will land (but some of it WILL, and it'll prove invaluable).

Sagittarius (The Empress, Judgement, Six of Swords)

Healing is your "theme tune" this week, Sagittarius, so give yourself space and time.

The Empress shows it's time for some self-care, nurturing and general TLC. Cosset yourself with those people and things you love and like, and let all the pressure flow away.

So, what's happened? Well, the Six of Swords and Judegment combine to tell a story about endings, departures, moving on in some way.

Something has ended and you've been reflecting on events, how it has impacted you, the role you've played, the life lessons you've earned.

Even if it was something painful (which it might not have been, at all), there are glistening silver linings here, and the process of moving on from it is proving to be revitalising and restorative, rather than sad or regretful.

Let this process unfold naturally, give yourself extra space. Relax and rest.

Capricorn (The Fool, The Moon, Four of Coins)

Conflicting forces are at work around you this week, Capricorn, and the overall advice is to hang tight until things feel (and are) clearer.

The Fool goes head-to-head with the Four of Coins; the former is about forging ahead and making a fresh start and the latter is about staying put, hunkering down, resisting change.

You're caught in the middle of those energies and moods.

The Moon reveals that the reason for this "limbo" is that you just don't have ALL the info you need right now.

Not everything that is needed is yet visible, so you should wait until new information or insight comes to light.

Once it does, you'll feel much more confident about what to do and which energy to flow with.

Personally, I think the "new start" vibe will win, and you're just awaiting the necessary knowledge to help you make an informed plan of action…

Aquarius (Ten of Wands, King of Swords, Queen of Coins)

You're feeling a bit overwhelmed and overworked right now, as shown by the tarot's "workaholic" card – Ten of Wands.

You're smart and curious and it's easy, therefore, to get involved in lots of things… maybe too many?

The King of Swords asks you to take a "helicopter view" of your landscape right now, and make some calls about what needs trimming back.

Consider what's useful for your future path, what has long-term potential, what is going to have rewards and benefits down the line – THAT is the stuff you should prioritise, and the rest can perhaps be ditched, delegated or delayed in order to make more room and head-space for yourself.

The Queen of Coins asks you to be practical and pragmatic about this "audit", don't let your emotions, or any sentimentality, sway you to keep on fulfilling obligations that don't really serve a valid purpose.

We all need to take stock of our time, energy and resources and where we're investing them from time to time, because stuff mounts up and circumstances change.

Do this, this week, and things are going to feel SO much easier.

Pisces (Eight of Wands, Ten of Swords, Seven of Swords)

The Eight of Wands shows that an interesting piece of news (or maybe several) will arrive at your door this week, from an unexpected source.

I think it will change how you feel about something, or someone, and the Ten of Swords shows that it will verify a nagging doubt you’ve held for a while, something which maybe means it’s time to move on from this situation or person.

We all have to cut our losses sometimes, because in some scenarios there are no winners and things are unlikely to improve.

You've got the proof you need now to make a firm decision and execute it.

One word of advice: keep your moves to yourself. The Seven of Swords is a cautious card, about guarding yourself, protecting your own interests, playing your cards close to your chest.

Telling other people, or getting them involved, is unlikely to help your cause and could create confusion and stress.

Do what you need to do, with just you, yourself and I for support. Get it over with.
