Man claims to have added £2k value to home with £50 garden makeover but everyone’s pointing out the same thing | The Sun

A MAN has claimed to have added £2,000 to the value of his home with a £50 garden makeover.

TikToker Villator has been completely transforming his home and garden on a budget – but everyone is pointing out the same thing.

The clip he posted on the video sharing app shows the small back garden completely overgrown with weeds.

But he then pulls up his sleeves and cleans out all of the dead plants, dirt and rubbish.

Villator also took the rickety back gate off its hinges before painting it black.

At the end of the short video the garden is unrecognisable and completely transformed into a usable space.

He captioned the clip: “Adding £2,000 of value to my property for £50.”

However, viewers were quick to comment that it cost him more than he claimed.

They say that he did not factor in the price of his own labour.

One person wrote: “50 pounds and 50 hours.”

It comes after a mum revealed how she transformed her garden patio for less than £50.

Her old patio looked worn and mossy in her snaps, with the grey slabs doing little to enliven the garden.

She talked through the steps she took to transform it.

She said: "The patio was cleaned and sealed with a patio sealer, which I then let dry.

"I coated the patio in two coats of masonry paint. I had this cool stencil from Dizzy Duck Designs."

The mum covered the whitewashed patio with the stencil pattern, which consisted of a circle inside a square – both divided halfway by a line.
